It is the reframing of what has occurred and the personal interpretation of the event that leads a victim to experience a more intrinsic response, often felt more powerfully than what actually happened. It is this response that impacts on and affects the body both psychologically and physically.

The charcoal drawings are made through the repeated process of drawing, erasing, redrawing and erasing until both trace and mark create a receding and layered web of lines.
